![]() ![]() The GUI in Omni, imo, is rather straight-forward and easy to navigate, the arpeggiator is crazy good, and making your own sounds from scratch is fun and quite easy. You can get so much mileage on the presets alone, though in my experience, there's always a bit of tweaking that can be done, all depending on what sound you're after. It covers so much ground it's rather mind-boggling, with it's 8,000+ patches. Omni's engine, to my ears, seems much fuller and deeper than Alchemy's. They do share many similarities, a plethora of sounds ranging from bells to synths to pads and drones, ambient textures, hits, etc.Īlthough having toyed around with Alchemy every day for the past week (always fun to put a new toy through its paces), I'm still relatively new to it, so my opinion is only that, an opinion. Being an Omnisphere user (V1 mind you) for many years, and now happily enjoying Alchemy as part of the recent Logic X upgrade, here are my thoughts: ![]()
